Leadership Traits - Assertiveness



With student protests reminiscent in the sixties on the streets of Britain's cities plus a quarter of public sector service jobs in danger from government cuts, there's a sense of disillusionment spreading. The UK electorate usually are not convinced they got the government they elected, however some mishmash coalition which for the one hand promises progressive politics and around the other threatens to supply the usual elitist solutions that will divide society and then leave the vulnerable scared. The Libdem arm in the partnership may abstain from the vote on tuition fees, under time limits from other supporters, yet this became the scheme they have got up till recently been supporting. #1 - It Costs Something To Go To The Next Level. Sure, you can "train" all on your own and you can see some improvements in doing that; however, if you want to see what you've really got it often takes someone pushing you at night limits you thought had always existed. When it comes to MLM we need to be ready to get books, tune in to trusted industry leaders, and apply what we are learning. We need to be willing to spend no matter the price to sharpen ourselves as leaders. Leaders never stop learning though it could be expensive and at times inconvenient.

#2 - You Can't Cheat If You Want To Go To The Next Level. NOW I could have lied and told him that I simply cannot do anymore. AND that would have been the simplest way out. When it came right down to it, I am on your own who really knew the reality. BUT, this thought hit my head, "Why in the heck would I want to lie. I am only getting because of this what I put into it," then I BLASTED through several more reps (and then crawled to my car!) As an MLM leader, I am the one that needs to be willing to admit when something is or is not right beside me personally. I can read books and go to conferences, but when I do not make an effort afterwords to process from the information, all I become can be a consumer rather than actually a learner. Information without application is useless.

There is one way to do this, and yes it mandates that you offer something extraordinary, something of great value, or perhaps you come in a specialized field or category. This differentiates you against your competitors. In the prospect's mind, you have more charm, have a very better offer, or possess a specialized occupation without any other alternatives.

However, although leaders are often adequately rewarded monetarily for efforts, research upon research informs us that compensation is usually 4th within the list of desired job attributes, the most notable three being that people need to be valued, appreciated, and listened to. If leaders never obtain the "Appreciation" part of this equation, they miss out on what most humans desire: consistent validation that they're creating a difference on a human level. This could cause leaders to forget what it's enjoy being "human" on the job, forgetting how good it feels being informally appreciated occasionally. It may also foster feelings and attitudes, for example, "I avoid getting any appreciation, and I'm doing perfectly; whether it's adequate for me personally, it's sufficient for the children!"
